About us

Creating architecture that sparks the imagination.

Tony Walker graduated with an undergraduate architecture degree from Lawrence Technological University in 1996. Between 1998-2001, he attended the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture (a.k.a., The School of Architecture (TSOA)) where he completed the graduate program and received a masters degree in architecture. Between 2001 to 2005, he would work with the renowned architect Arthur Dyson in Fresno, CA, followed by working at Wiehle-Carr Architecture in Los Angeles, CA up to 2009. Incidentally, both Dyson and Wiehle apprenticed with Frank Lloyd Wright. At each office, Tony managed multiple projects including custom residences, schools, libraries, churches, hospital tenant improvements, and historic home restorations. The most impressive of these projects was that of Frank Lloyd Wright's Ennis House Seismic Stabilization & House Rehabilitation located in the Hollywood Hills of Los Angeles, CA. In 2011, Tony returned to the Midwest to assist his parents during a time when his father was recovering from surgery. He worked at various architectural firms in Michigan including some time in the design department of a national furniture supplier. He then relocated to Madison, WI to work under the auspices of Robert Bouril of Bouril Design Studio and Daniel Maki of Facility Engineering, Inc. (FEI). Prior to joining FEI in 2017, Tony had established his practice but was sidelined in order to focus his attention on FEI's projects and management while broadening his knowledge of business practices. After a few years, in 2021, Tony amicably separated from FEI so that he could focus his attention into his budding architecture and consulting firm. Tony currently holds licenses in both Wisconsin and Michigan. He's also a full-fledged member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the National Council of Architect Registration Boards (NCARB). When not working with clients or on their projects, Tony volunteers his time and knowledge with various organizations, church committees, and TSOA's official alumni association--the Taliesin Fellows. He enjoys time with family and friends, the outdoors, and a good book.

Our history

A legacy of honesty, integrity, and commitment.

Architects hold higher standards, not only to ourselves but to the public, the profession, and our world. To summarize the AIA Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct, there are general obligations, obligations to the public, obligations to the client, obligations to the profession, obligations to colleagues, and obligations to the environment. To uphold these obligations, we strive to carry these ideals in every aspect of our lives and workplace in order to best represent and serve the client.
People

Our Team is More Than Just One Person...

Tony Walker, the Architect
Founder and principal architect, Tony brings his knowledge of architecture to each client and every project so that the quality of the work can stand the test of time.
the Associates
We work with outside consultants--a structural engineer is usually a necessity--while other consultants could be a kitchen or interior designer, a landscape architect, an HVAC specialist, a lighting designer, etc. Chooosing the right team members are important so that the intended design is built right.
& the Client
Clients have needs, wants, a budget, and a schedule. They may have an idea of what's needed but don't know how to go about it. That's where we help develop a program specific to their goals. We strive to design what works for your project--not our ego.
